For the superdrive and the pioneer A04(104)
drives we support all media types with DVD RAM Tuneup or Write DVD for mac. We support all media types for DVD+RW drives with Write DVD for Mac. For Mt. Rainier drives not on the list, and fully complying with the specification, WriteCD-RW will act as a “universal” driver—that is, if no other driver grabs the drive first.
What sort of disks will Write CD-RW write to?
Only CD-RW disks
How does the Mt. Rainier support work?
If you have a Mt. Rainier drive, it will only do
a Mt. Rainier format. If the disk is formatted but not
Mt. Rainier formatted then the disk will be locked.
If you wish to write to it, you must format it, and
the format will be Mt. Rainier.
How do I know if WriteCDRW has recognized my CDRW drive?
When you bring up the Write CDRW
control panel, the drive is listed..
Why is only one of my CDRW drives recognized?
Write CD-RW will only recognize one drive. If you have more than one CD-RW drive, the only one you will be able to format with, will be the one listed in the Write CD-RW control panel. It might be possible to write to the disk
In the other drives after it is formatted.
Why is my cdrw drive not offering to format a cdrw when it is put in?
It is already formatted.
How do I format a CDRW when it is already formatted?
Open the Write CDRW! control panel
and choose either Erase Disc or Low-Level Format
What capacity does a CDRW have after formatting?
About 100 megabytes less than the listed size after being formatted.
What is the actual format of the drive?
