Jukebox MO Manager

Frequently Asked Questions

(FAQ's)

1. Sometimes it seems as if the disks swap around in the Jukebox at random.

Do you have a cache drive connected and setup? A cache drive is not required but it is strongly recommended in a lot of cases. It will greatly speed up operations and it buffers the Operating System from the Jukebox so there is not so much unnecessary swapping of disks.

2. How do I clear the cache drive?

Simply restart the machine this will cause the Jukebox MO Manager to write all the information on the cache drive to the appropriate disks.

3. Can I get all the disks in the Jukebox to appear as a single icon on my desktop?

No. Not only is it not a feature that is available in the software - it has the potential to cause problems. If there is a crash you would not be able to recover your data. Currently there are no utilities for recovering data from striped systems. If you are using Jukebox MO Manager and there is a crash each of the volumes are standalone and can be used in any standard 5.25" MO drive and are recoverable with any third party recovery tools.
