Frequently Asked Questions

My system does not recognize my FireWire device. On a PC:

Solution 1

Device must be supported. Make sure that the device is supported by DOS Mounter. You can find the drive support list by clicking here.

Solution 2

DOS Mounter is not installed. Make sure that the extension"SAI FireWire Driver" is installed in the extensions folder. If they are not, re-install DOS Mounter.

Solution 3

Improper Cabling. Make sure the device has power and good cabling.

Solution 4

Improper environment. Make sure your computer either has FireWire built in or has a PCI FireWire card and you are using Mac OS 8.5 or higher.
