Bothell, WA...Software Architects, Inc. (SAI) announces the release of WriteDVD!(TM) the first software utility providing everything you need for DVD-RAM disk drive running Windows NT.
WriteDVD! is based on the world's first commercial read/write UDF (Universal Disk Format) file system. Following DVD Forum specifications the international standard for running DVD-RAM drives, SAI's WriteDVD! is the first "plug and play" software utility product line that runs re-writable DVD-RAM drives on Windows NT PCs.

Compatibility and Drivers Supported
WriteDVD! is fully compatible with other SAI DVD utilities including: WriteDVD! for Windows 95 & 98, and DVD-RAM TuneUp! for Apple Mac OS 7 & 8. Reads and writes to DVD-RAM disks formatted in OSTA UDF v1.02, 1.5 and 2.0. WriteDVD! supports all DVD-RAM drives using SCSI or ATAPI interfaces, including Hitachi, Panasonic, Toshiba and LaCie brand drive systems.
About UDF
WriteDVD! is based on version 2.0 of the Universal Disk Format
(UDF) Implementation Guidelines published by OSTA (Optical Storage Technology
Association). The UDF file system conforms to the ISO 13346 international
standard for re-writable mass storage media. Version 2.0 of the UDF
Implementation Guidelines allows for support of Windows NT and other improvements
to accommodate current and advanced operating systems. More information on UDF
