Many digital photos contain areas that are under-exposed or over-exposed, while other areas require hue, saturation or contrast adjustments in only a portion of the image. Until now, addressing such problems required a skilled PhotoShop™ or Nikon Capture™ professional. GreatPhoto! v 2.1 enables users of all skill levels to make these types of adjustments quickly, without extensive knowledge of color theory. With GreatPhoto!, the user simply selects a layer and drags the range bar on the photo to the desired area, selects from a variety of gradient effects for the selected area, and then makes any adjustment to the selected area with the exposure, contrast, hue and saturation and patented VistaMax™ color value control. Make your average photos look good and your good photos look great, fast and easy! There is no need for learning technical jargon, using histograms, or use of drawing tools.

GreatEyes™ Eye Correction Fixes “Red-eye” and More
Red eye and other flash related reflectance problems often ruin a good photo of friends, family or pets. Conventional “red-eye” filters in most third party editing software only deal with reduction of the red cast in human eyes. This alone is often not adequate to make eyes look natural. The advanced GreatEyes™ color correction feature automatically corrects the red cast in the selected eye without color distortion of the surrounding skin. In addition, Version 2.1 automatically re-creates a natural looking eye reflection, resulting in a more natural look. The user can add additional effects to the eyes to fine tune the auto corrections to suit personal taste.

Adjusts Back Lost Color Values for More Natural Looking Photos
The patented VistaMax™ Color Management System provides users with the ability to automatically add back lost color values that have been “clipped” by adjusting the brightness, contrast, hue or saturation of the image. For example, brightening an image may cause some of the color saturation to be lost in the image. The VistaMax “enhance” dial allows the user to add back in some or all of the lost color saturation while maintaining the adjusted brightness values. By turning the “enhance” knob, users can adjust the amount of color or brightness added back to the image to optimize the effect. This provides better looking images fast and easy.

Powerful yet Easy to Use
Unlike conventional image editing software, GreatPhoto! provides a naturally intuitive interface that uses a series of control knobs to adjust the color, brightness, saturation, contrast and color range of the photo in real time, so the user can quickly explore dozens of versions of the photo in the time they could create one in most other photo editing programs. No drawing, no histograms and no knowledge of color theory is required.

Advanced Features
In addition to VistaMax™ color correction, advanced “red eye” reduction and zonal effects, all adjustments can be “bookmarked” to temporarily retain the modified image. Using a series of bookmarks allows the user to quickly switch the full size image between bookmarks for comparison purpose. This speeds selection of the most desired effects.
