New Software Automatically Converts & Downloads DVD Video From
DVD Video Recorders & Camcorders to Apple iTunes & Video iPods

GreatVideo!™ v2.0 converts video recorded on consumer DVD video recorders and DVD camcorders and downloads to Apple iTunes™ for playback on Video iPods™ and Mac systems.

Kirkland, WA August 8, 2006 -- Software Architects, Inc., announced release of GreatVideo!™ DVD Video File Converter v2.0 for Apple PowerMac™ systems running OS 10.4.

Powerful and Easy to Use
GreatVideo! is the first and only software application that automatically reads, copies and converts recorded DVD video discs automatically to any QuickTime™ video format for editing, authoring and mastering on a Mac 10.4 system or playback on Apple Video iPods.

One Button Conversion and Download to iTunes
Select the “iTunes” option, and the software automatically converts the selected video files into MPEG-4 format and downloads to your iTunes video folder. Select the “play list” option and GreatVideo! automatically adds the video file to any number iTunes play lists you pick. Download your iTunes play lists to a Video IPod and enjoy your personally recorded DVD video files displayed in high quality on without any other editing or conversion operations required. There is nothing new to learn.

Supports Reading All Types of Recordable DVD Video Formats and Media Types
GreatVideo! provides everything you need to download, convert and use video files recorded from consumer DVD Video recorders and camcorders to an Apple Mac OS 10.4 system. Standard movie DVD discs are formatted in the “VOB” file format. When recording to DVD-R/W or DVD-RAM discs, DVD Video recorders and camcorders record live video to the Video Recording (“VR”) format, a different format specified by the DVD Forum for this application. GreatVideo! V2.0 supports reading and converting video recorded in either format to “Mac friendly” QuickTime formats for use on Mac systems, iTunes and Video iPods. (GreatVideo! does not support conversion of CSS encrypted commercial DVD Video discs).

Supports Dolby and LPCM Audio Files
Version 2.0 supports VR discs containing audio files compressed in Dolby AC-3, as well as the uncompressed, LPCM format audio option used on many consumer DVD recorders and camcorders. Audio encoded in MPEG-2 is saved in uncompressed format, making it easy to edit and use in other applications.
