The WriteDVD!™ for Windows 2000 utility provides the user with everything they need to setup and run a rewritable DVD-RAM drive on a PC running Windows 2000. WriteDVD! comes with a media type sensitive SmartDVD™ device driver, the Universal Disk Format (UDF) file system and formatting utility FormatUDF!™. Equipped with WriteDVD! Windows users can take advantage of the unprecedented capacity and flexibility of DVD, including cross-platform read and write capabilities. Windows and Mac users no longer have to worry about system conflicts when reading and writing their multimedia presentations, storing data or backing up their systems to DVD-RAM drives.

Reliable disk interchange: Using the UDF file system, the formatting utility FormatUDF!(TM) and the driver provided with WriteDVD!, Windows 2000 users can read as well as write to a UDF formatted disk which can be used between different computers and operating systems.

WriteDVD! for Windows 2000 is fully compatible with other SAI DVD utilities including: WriteDVD! for Windows 95 & 98, Windows NT 4.0, and DVD-RAM TuneUp™ for Apple Mac OS 7.5 and 8.6. WriteDVD! reads and writes to DVD-RAM disks formatted in OSTA UDF v1.02, 1.5 and 2.0. WriteDVD! supports all DVD-RAM manufacturers' drives using SCSI or ATAPI interfaces.
